Inquiry Package

Inquiry Package

This series of classes is designed to teach someone with no real experience with SQL how to use the power of Inquiry. The first class will discuss the existing inquiries that come with Ajera and show very basic modifications that can be made. The second class in the series builds on that knowledge and introduces "conditions and links" to further filter data. The final class in the series is an introduction to SQL formulas and how they can be used to further refine your reports.

Inquiry Basics

Join us to learn how to use the powerful Inquiry feature in Ajera! Inquiry allows you to customize and dig deeper into your data. These inquiries can then be published for later use and printed. This training class will teach you how to customize the presentation of the data to:

  • Create new inquiries with a few clicks of your mouse
  • Add, remove and reorder columns
  • Create formulas to analyze data your way
  • Create groupings of data and group totals
  • Select your custom fields to add into columns on inquiries
  • Define links to related data or other inquiries
  • Publish your inquiries for others to use
Inquiry Conditions & Links

In this intermediate-level session, step-by-step exercises will show you how to filter data in inquiries by:

  • Setting conditions on an inquiry
  • Linking one inquiry to another
  • Setting conditions on links between inquiries
Inquiry Formulas

Take your skills to the next level by learning how to use formulas to customize your Ajera inquiries. You will explore SQL functions that will enable you to acquire more focused information in your inquiries. You will also learn how to:

  • Filter amount columns using field criteria in a formula
  • Use a string function to parse through a data field
  • Use key fields in link columns

This class will step through building two complete sample inquiries: A Project Totals and History Detail Inquiry and a Payroll Hours Input inquiry. These inquiries will use the SQL functions CASE and DATENAME and will also use custom linking and grouping for subtotals.

This series of classes will show you the basics of how to customize your invoices in Ajera. Whether you would like to add custom fields to your invoices, fully brand your invoice by changing spacing, size, color and style of fonts, or even change the order of activities on the invoice; this training series will show you how. This live demonstration will go over how to add a custom text header and footer, how to add a non-standard size logo and so much more to get you comfortable using the MRS Reporting Tool in customizing your invoice format for even the most demanding customers.

Time Entry & Payroll Processing

Everything you need to know to make payroll processing simple and routine in Ajera is outlined. Employees and managers will both benefit from this class covering the timesheet entry and approval processes, as well as discussing timing issues for payroll. Review a full payroll cycle, including payroll creation, amending paychecks, and using reports for verification and timely government reporting.

Security & Setup

This class discusses the different ways to set up security to allow different roles or different individuals to view different levels and types of data. This will also cover how to limit an employee's ability to see costs, while still giving them the information they need to manage their projects and daily tasks.

Project Command Center and Client Invoices & Receipts

This session provides an overview of the Project Command Center and how to process client invoices and payments along with the basic reports available to ensure AR accuracy.

Expense entry and Vendor Invoicing & Payments

Learn how to enter and approve expenses from both an employee's and a Supervisor's role. Process vendor invoices, manage recurring payments, and the basic reports available to ensure AP accuracy.

Bank register, Credit Cards and Reconciling

Learn the importance of regular reconciliation of your bank register along with the proper way to reconcile a credit card register. Includes the processes involved with working in a bank register and a credit card register.

Reports and Widgets

Monthly and year End Reconciliation and Review

This class will go over the essential steps needed in Ajera to do your monthly closings with ease and consistency. With a good reconciliation process you will be more accurate in your financial reporting and the closed periods will not change. Cancellation Policy
If you register and are unable to attend a training class or workshop, please let us know by emailing training@axium.com. A refund for the full amount will be issued for cancellations that are received 30 days or more prior to the event date. A 50% refund will be given if the cancellation is received less than 30 days and more than 3 days of the event date and the remaining 50% can be applied to a future Axium Training Class or event. Unfortunately we cannot provide a refund for cancellations made within three days of the event but 50% can be applied to a future Axium Training Class or event.
