Axium Releases Schedule Manager for Architecture and Engineering Firms as Part of Ajera 7

Schedule Manager Helps Architecture and Engineering Firms Reduce Time Spent on Resource Planning and Boost Profitability

Portland, Oregon – Feb 7th, 2012 — — Axium, developer of accounting and project management software for architecture and engineering firms, announced the release of Ajera 7 and a new project scheduling interface, Schedule Manager. Schedule Manager was designed to help architecture and engineering firms reduce the time it takes to manage project schedules, increase employee utilization rates, and prevent project overruns.

“Most architecture and engineering firms spend hours every week cross-checking project schedules against employee timesheets and their project reports,” said Brian Siefkes, Product Strategist. “Then they have to go back and re-enter data from one program to the other and there’s a lot of billable time lost to these overhead activities. But, it’s the only way that firms can keep projects on track and employee utilization rates high.”

Ajera’s new Schedule Manager combines employee timesheet data and future scheduled hours to give an instant snapshot of project budgets, making it easy for architecture and engineering firms to see if their project is on track or on its way to going over budget.

“We wanted the interface to be easy to work with, yet powerful enough to give instant feedback on project and employee workloads,” said Siefkes. “The feedback we’re getting from project managers at architecture and engineering firms is that they’re able to instantly jump in and start using Schedule Manger, which is affirmation that we’ve accomplished our goal.”

Architecture and Engineering Software Company, Axium, Reaches 2011 Inc. 5000 List

Portland, Oregon – September 12th, 2011 —Axium, a leading developer of accounting and project management software for architects and engineers, has made the 2011 Inc. 5000 list, placing as the #3700 fastest growing company in the country and 37th regionally.

Axium reported a 42% growth rate in the last three years at a time when the architecture, engineering and construction industries have been badly hit by a slowing economy.

“For Axium to maintain a strong growth rate in this economic climate is a real testament to the solid foundation that our employees have built,” said Alan Mills, CEO. “We continue to focus on putting the interests of the AE industry we serve first. Architecture and engineering firms aren’t just seeing the benefit of our products but also in aligning with a financially stable company that is responsive to their needs, with a continued long term commitment to their industry.”

Axium credits the size of the firm and its commitment to specific business fundamentals to much of its success.

“We’ve been unwilling to compromise certain business fundamentals. Our US based support department answers 80% of calls in 30 seconds or less. From day one, our clients get to work with highly skilled team members that understand their industry,” said Mills. “Our growth combined with our size allows us to stay nimble. We’ll switch directions quickly if we see an opportunity to enhance our clients’ businesses and grow the company.”

Despite many sectors of the construction industry continuing to lag, the market has stabilized and created an environment where Axium feels they are well positioned.

“The opportunity for Axium has never been as big as it is right now,” said Mills. “We continue to hire for key positions to support our growing client base and keep our foot on the gas. We’ve set and met aggressive revenue targets in this economy and we see no reason that can’t continue.”

Architecture & Engineering Software Company Axium Reaches The Business Journal’s 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies for Fourth Straight Year

Beaverton, Oregon – June 30th, 2011 — For the fourth consecutive year, Axium, a leading developer of accounting and project management software for architects and engineers, has placed on The Portland Business Journal’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies.

“Making the Top 100 this year is extra special,” said Dan Laun, Director of Sales & Services.  “Our revenue in 2008 and 2009 were factored in the calculations, which were two of the hardest years the architecture and engineering industries have faced.  And of the 100 companies, only 10 of them have been on the list for at least five years, so we're creeping into elite company.”

The growth rate of the Top 100 companies measures the revenue growth from 2008 to 2010.  To be eligible, companies must have shown revenue growth over the past three years.  Axium has recorded annual revenue of just under 10 million dollars.

“In previous years, some of our growth has been fueled by a number of firms in our industry upgrading legacy software,” said Laun.  “In 2010 and into this year, we’re seeing more growth as a result of AE firms abandoning current products in our market space, which we believe is a strong sign that Axium is positioned to continue the incredible rate of growth we seen these last four years.”

Included on the list of the Top 100 companies was Ash Creek Associates, Inc., who has been an Axium client since 2006, and has made the list of fastest growing companies for three consecutive years.
